At enhanceskin, we’ve been helping our Nelson and Marlborough clients with skin rejuvenation for almost a decade.
When it comes to cosmetic procedures we work differently to some other providers. We’re not fans of a one size fits all approach. Instead, we offer personalised care and attention, working with you to enhance your natural beauty rather than change your appearance. That’s why we offer a complimentary, initial consultation to all clients considering cosmedical treatments.
We know that for many, skin rejuvenation (Botox and Dermal Fillers) is an investment. And we want to make sure you get the most out of that investment. So, in this article we thought we’d share three ways that will ensure the results of your skin rejuvenation treatments will last longer.
How to ensure your skin rejuvenation results last longer:
Do your Homework:
After your skin rejuvenation procedure. Lacey will always recommend a home skincare prescription. That’s not because we want to sell you products, but because we want to help you protect your investment. Using the correct skincare post-treatment is crucial. Unlike many mainstream skincare brands that you might buy in department stores or high street pharmacies, we offer clinical grade skincare products. These have been scientifically formulated to promote healthy skin. They contain active ingredients at maximum concentrations that work together to ensure positive changes to your skin. We have a simple rule at enhanceskin; if we don’t believe a product works, we won’t stock it!
Eat Well:
Nourishment from the inside is key to healthy skin. Add as many hydrating whole-foods to your diet as possible, to keep your skin healthy and radiant. Healthy fats such as nuts, seeds and avocado are all loaded with essential fatty acids and omegas, which are the building blocks of cell membranes. These polyunsaturated fats also help to produce the skin’s natural oil barrier, which is critical to keep your skin hydrated, plumper and younger-looking.
Make Room for Maintenance:
Botox – Although individuals vary, the effects of your Botox therapy will generally last for around 3-4 months. Research shows that regular use every three months in the first couple of years can yield better results, which often last longer.
Dermal Fillers – Depending on the area being treated and the type of dermal filler used, a one-off treatment can last on average about 6-15 months.
The best way to extend the life of your skin rejuvenation treatments is to ensure you’ve booked your ‘maintenance’ treatments before your initial results wear off. Lacey will advise you after your first treatment when she thinks you should be scheduling a follow-up treatment.
