It’s about that time of year when we start to make our goals for the year ahead. The annual tradition of making New Year’s resolutions will often involve pledges to change habits. We might promise ourselves we’ll eat better, drink less or exercise more. But, did you know that about a third of resolutions do not make it past the first month? There’s a school of thought that New Year’s Resolutions are much easier to keep if they are more general in nature. And you’ll be pleased to know that we can help!
New Year Resolutions and being the best version of yourself:
If you’ve decided that a bigger commitment to exercise will help you be the best version of yourself, think about the things that are holding you back.
Could it be the painful cramps or aching, tired legs that are preventing you from getting to the gym? Or, are you slightly uncomfortable about wearing shorts and baring your legs because of unsightly varicose veins?
We can help you stick to your New Year’s Resolutions.
At enhanceskin, we offer the following treatments for varicose veins.
- Ultrasound-Guided Foam Sclerotherapy (UGFS) uses specialised ultrasound equipment to guide injections of sclerosant which permanently closes the vein. This procedure is virtually painless, so requires no anaesthesia.
- Endovenous Laser Ablation (EVLA), the gold standard for varicose vein treatment, again, requires no general anaesthesia or hospital stay. You walk in and walk out (wearing compression stockings for two weeks), and you are even able to drive home afterwards.
- The newest treatment we offer is Venaseal, a medical glue that closes off Varicose Veins. There may be no need for stockings in those who it suits as a treatment! And air travel is allowed at any point after treatment.
Before we embark on any treatment plan, we offer a COMPLIMENTARY full doctor’s vein assessment, including a scan to help to determine the treatment most suitable for you. Your treatment plan also includes follow-up appointments for twelve months afterwards.

New job, meeting new people, becoming more sociable:
If you think that the key to being the best version of yourself is to look for a new job or become more social. But, you’ve pledged this New Year’s resolution before and always end up retreating to your comfort zone, consider how you might gain confidence.
Once again, we can help. Allergan, the manufacturer of Botox and Juvederm, conducted research, which suggested that people are now opting for injectable treatments to boost their self-confidence, instead of boosting their appearance.
Depression and low self-esteem often go hand-in-hand. Recent research and clinical trials have suggested that Botox may be an effective treatment for depression.
This research (and its initial signs of success) has come as no surprise to our team. We consistently receive testimonials from clients who say they feel better about themselves and experience an uplifted mood following their Cosmetic Botulinum treatment.
We offer COMPLIMENTARY cosmedical consultations in Nelson or Blenheim, so if you want to discover how we can help you find confidence in 2020, contact us to book your appointment.
