There’s a common misconception that one only needs to cleanse and moisturise when it comes to skincare. Not so, I’m afraid. In fact, if you are trying to hydrate your skin using only moisturiser, it’s probably not worth using it at all… Moisturisers alone do not add moisture to your skin. At best, a moisturiser used on its own will make your skin soft. That’s why at enhanceskin, we recommend you always use an Aspect Dr super serum. We generally recommend Active C serum in the morning and Exfol A Plus in the evening. However, we may advise using other serums depending on your skin concerns. These products will promote hydration, helping to brighten and smooth your complexion. But, don’t ditch your moisturiser altogether because as we head into the Nelson winter, your Aspect Dr moisturiser will really come into its own.
Aspect Dr Moisturiser & why we ❤️ it!
Firstly, it’s important to stress that no moisturiser, even our beloved Aspect Dr, can do the hard work of serums. Serums target specific skin concerns such as wrinkles, dark spots, visible pores, fine lines and hyper-pigmentation. They penetrate the deepest layers of your skin. In contrast, a moisturiser works on the top layer of your skin, the epidermis. We can help you find the correct serum for your skin’s needs at our Nelson clinic.
All of this means that, despite what many mainstream cosmetic brands will tell you, one doesn’t need a moisturiser based on skin type. Remember, the serums are selected to target your skin’s specific needs. With a moisturiser, you need to look at the beneficial active ingredients.
So, we thought we’d share our favourite Aspect Dr Moisturiser and its hero ingredients in this post! Read on for the lowdown.
